SF Palace of Fine Arts Wedding

SF Palace of Fine Arts Wedding

Planned to perfection and personalized for an intimate group of guests, Billy and Griffin's chic Palace of Fine Arts wedding focused on family, food, and fashion.

Held at one of San Francisco’s most iconic and elegant venues, the grooms were impeccably dressed to match their surroundings in Hugo Boss and Savile Row suits, Tom Ford patent leather shoes, Tiffany cufflinks, and Cartier rings.

Looking oh-so-dapper, the couple said “I do” inside the Greco-Roman rotunda of the Palace of Fine Arts, originally designed for the 1915 World’s Fair. As rain poured down, it added its own music to the celebration. Springtime flowers lined the aisles, bringing a cheerful touch of yellow to the scene.

The ceremony itself was full of touching moments, and when it was over, the rain let up just in time for the couple’s portrait session in the beautifully maintained gardens, in front of fountains and works of art.

Afterward, Billy, who is Thai, changed into his traditional Sompot Chong Kben attire, and both men made their way to their reception. Griffin, the CEO of The San Francisco Standard, and Billy, both well-acquainted with the city’s top restaurants and events, chose to host their celebration at Cotogna—one of San Francisco’s most acclaimed Italian restaurants. There, cocktails were served on the outdoor terrace and guests were treated to a world-class dinner of housemade pastas, wood-fired grilled fare, and delectable desserts.

Each guest received a personal, handwritten letter from Billy and Griffin, expressing their gratitude and heartfelt appreciation, bringing many to tears.

The intimate size of the celebration fostered lively conversation and a warm, welcoming atmosphere where everyone felt pampered and part of the family.

Their photographer, Jessica Hill, says she “used very little flash in order to keep the feeling of intimacy without distraction, and that in spite of the rain which was at times challenging the love the couple shared for each other and their friends made the day uplifting and delightful to capture”.
