Tenuta Tresca is a popular rustic-chic wedding venue located in Botrugno, a picturesque town nestled between Bari and Brindisi in the Puglia region of southern Italy. When Faye and Laurie found it, they immediately fell in love with the traditional Italian architecture and the outdoor options for getting married and dining under the stars.

 

Surrounded by lush olive groves and vineyards, you simply can’t ask for a more serene atmosphere, according to wedding photographers Cole Roberts and Jakob Granqvist of Sweden-based Nordica Photography. “The beautifully restored stone farmhouse has exposed brick walls, wooden beams, and large windows that let in plenty of natural light for photography. The surrounding countryside offered plenty of places for candid portraits.”

“Tenuta Tresca is one of the best Puglia wedding venues there is,” says Cole. “The setting for the ceremony was like a woodland fairytale, and the reception under twinkling lights was magical and memorable. Visually, any photographer would have loved to photograph this wedding because it was set up so perfectly.”

The women in the bridal party are all close friends with tight bonds and the emotions were easy to capture. Showing off those connections, the photography focused on the people throughout—making sure to create fun bridal party shots and bring the family into the wedding story. Cole remarks, “While the details were personalized and well-prepared, this wedding was all about relationships, first and foremost.”

Faye and Laurie describe their Tenuta Tresca wedding as “super chill and intimate, with summer vibes, that really felt like us." Sharing local food and drinks throughout the day, the couple was married under ribbons and lights inside a canopy of trees without a lot of pomp and circumstance. The whole day was spent outdoors with the ones they love, hugging, laughing and sharing memories. As day turned to night, guests sat at long tables sipping limoncello, dining on Apulian cuisine, and dancing the night away in the courtyard. Everything unfolded perfectly for the couple and their photographer.

Other Vendors: “A lot of people chipped in to make everything happen for us,” say Faye and Laurie. The day before the wedding, me, my mum and the bridesmaids decorated the venue, we didn't need to add too much as the venue was lovely just as it was.”
