This vibrant, joyous wedding celebration was steeped in the rich cultural details and colors of its venue, Riviera Maya Haciendas in Puerta Aventuras, Mexico.  

We fell in love with the strong emotional connections captured by leading Cancún and Riviera Maya wedding photographer Citlalli Rico. We were drawn in by the vibrancy of the colorful décor and accents that authentically convey a sense of the unique venue. Framed by swaying palm trees and blue waters, the beachfront Riviera Maya Haciendas with its lush tropical gardens and old-world Mexico vibe brought the celebration to life. The balance of the location with the important details of Daniel and Paige’s Jewish wedding, including the  gorgeous florals surrounding the chuppah and the loving embrace with the tallit (prayer shawl) around the shoulders of bride and groom blended the cultures beautifully.

According to award-winning, Cancún and Riviera Maya-based wedding photographer Citlalli Rico, it was a dream couple, a dream location and a dream come true for everyone in attendance, including her!

Rico says “Daniel and Paige have such a strong loving relationship, and seeing them express that for each other while surrounded by all the people that love them was just so beautiful. I could feel the energy, their happiness, and the true excitement of the day in every moment.”

Rico, who is also a world-class photography teacher, shared with us that her photographic approach is rooted in a documentary style that she shares with her sister, Tamara, with whom she works side by side (including at this wedding). “We love sharing stories and capturing the real, emotional, and honest moments of the day. Our portraits tend to be very natural, allowing the personalities of our couples to shine through.
