Port Phillip Estate Wedding, AU
With an emphasis on graceful entertaining, Rebecca and Aaron chose a Port Phillip Estate wedding to say their vows and pamper their guests. The iconic venue on the Mornington Peninsula is an architectural landmark and one of Australia's most exciting culinary destinations. With sweeping views, spectacular food and wine, and exceptional service, it was the perfect place for the couple to celebrate and spend the evening relaxing and enjoying the company they love.
The wedding took place in late autumn with flaming yellow leaves on the grapevines, and golden light across the scene. The couple brought their French Bulldog with them as a member of the family and a super cute addition to the photos of the day.
The evening started with cocktails and delicious hors d'oeuvres and segwayed seamlessly into their ceremony. The groom wore a classic suit, the bride wore a chic, silk gown and the ring bearer looked adorable as he came down the aisle. The ceremony itself was quiet and heartfelt.
With congratulations and a feeling of bliss, the banquet began. Featuring Kooyong Wines from the estate vineyards and seasonal delicacies of the region, the menu was served on long family tables in an intimate candlelit setting. There was plenty of time for top Australian photographer, Lachlan Scallion to capture the essential portraits of the guests and artistic photos of the couple without disturbing the flow of the event. Scallion says” A focus on family and connection was at heart of everything they did. The speeches overflowed with honest emotion and the dance floor was full of smiles and love. Acting like a chameleon, I was able to match the calm energy and make the photos look as relaxed as the wedding felt”.
Aaron and Rebecca’s Port Phillip Estate wedding ended on a sweet note with tons of hugs and kisses, and beautiful memories made.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Port Phillip’s Estate acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which they work. Their vineyards, winery, restaurant and accommodations are located on the land of the Boon Wurrung / Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation. The venue recognizes their continued connection to land, waters and community and pay their respects to their Elders past and present.
