Portraits of the wedding party are almost mandatory when it comes to wedding photography. Whether they are impeccably posed or creatively candid, most couples want a great shot of the people in their party to give as gifts and to hang on their wall with pictures of friends and family.
The most common group portraits are taken with everyone standing in a straight line, bouquets out, facing the camera. The most uncommon and extraordinary mix it up with by organizing the wedding party into interesting groupings, telling a story, incorporating the background, and bringing in elements of the couple’s personality.
Today we’re showing off 16 of the most skillful and artistic photos from our galleries including the winner of our Portrait Award for Best Wedding Party Portrait from Irish photographer Ronan Palliser.
