Bel-Air Bay Club Wedding
Cherished for its sweeping ocean views and luxurious ambiance, the Bel-Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades, CA, is an exceptional venue for getting married. Couple Taryn and Patrick made the most of the stunning outdoor setting and had beautiful weather for their white and gold wedding there in May. Local florist Emblem Flowers enhanced the beauty of the occasion with towering arrangements of lush foliage and ivory delphinium blooms framing the altar. The aisle was also adorned with florals and featured a crisp white runner that stood out against the oceanfront backdrop. Seating guests in a semicircle offered them an unobstructed view of Taryn and Pat along with the breathtaking surroundings, while L.A. photographer Marlies Hartmann expertly captured every angle and perspective.
Everything about this Bel-Air Bay Club wedding was unique and special, from the bridesmaids dressed in cream double-breasted satin blazers and pants—a look that was both unexpected and unique—to fun touches like blue, gold and white origami decorations and brightly colored cocktails. And then there were the musicians. From acoustic guitarist Brandt Jacobus setting the mood during the ceremony to the band Gold Coast All Stars keeping the party alive and the dance floor packed, music-loving couple Taryn and Patrick ensured that their guests were entertained to the end of the evening. Even Patrick picked up his guitar and went center stage to serenade his bride and play for their family and friends.
In fact, music played a pivotal role in their story from day one. Taryn first met Patrick at one of his own shows, where his opening line to her was, "Mind if I plug in?" as he searched for a power source behind her. Their relationship has been supportive and quirky ever since.
The reception took place indoors and maintained the same timeless vibe with a neutral palette. “Pops of gold added a touch of elegance, seen in the gold Chiavari chairs and subtle gold accents on the wedding cake,” Hartmann recalls. “After guests enjoyed their meal, it was time to dance! I loved how they dined in a separate room from the dance floor, making the live music and dancing portion of the reception feel like a concert venue and afterparty.”
