Greencrest Manor Wedding
Couples and photographers alike know that not everything goes as planned when it comes to weddings. In this case, bride and groom Katherine and JK had first envisioned a European destination wedding, but opted instead for an intimate ceremony at the romantic French-style chateau and estate wedding venue Greencrest Manor in Battle Creek, Michigan. This Greencrest Manor wedding turned out to be everything they had hoped for. And wedding photography duo Leidy and Josh, aka The Fourniers, were there to document it all in their signature style.
“We always tell our couples we want their wedding day to feel like a celebration and not a photoshoot,” says the husband-and-wife duo. “We actively seek moments for couples to relax, cherish each other, and fully embrace their special day. Our goal is to ensure they feel truly celebrated, and to capture precious memories with their loved ones.”
Despite the autumn transition on the day of the ceremony, the weather remained warm and comfortable and, as Leidy and Josh describe, a hint of a Normandy private country estate lingered in the air as the leaves began to change color. “The couple's color palette gracefully mirrored these transitions, adorned with hues of sage, emerald, blush, and delicate touches of maroon. Their serene composure radiated an unwavering sense of bliss. Regardless of what the day had in store, they found solace in knowing that they were uniting with the love of their lives, infusing every moment with an infectious and jubilant tranquility.”
The evening following this Greencrest Manor wedding, Katherine and JK had their reception at The Exchange in Chicago for their friends and the entire family. “It was a massive celebration with a completely different vibe,” says Leidy. “It seamlessly merged elegant urban elements with high fashion, resulting in an unforgettable party.”
